Before making a booking with us, please take time to read our Terms of Service.
Please note that whilst we do our best to keep to our schedule sometimes things can take a little longer as one of our priorities is to make your dog comfortable and at ease as much as we can. The appointment time you choose is a drop-off only time, not the time we start the grooming session.
We do not groom dog's any younger than 6 months and puppies must have all of their vaccinations.
We are a sedation free environment (yay!)
For cancellations, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged.
We would like to stress this point and ask that you please do not arrive early to pick up your dog, as they can smell you when you enter the salon and can become overwhelmed when we are attempting to finish the groom. Overwhelmed dog's and clippers do not mix.
Matted coats will incur an extra charge. Please be aware that if your dog’s coat is matted, a requested groom may not be possible.
We will not attempt to brush out bad knots or matting. It is inhumane to put a dog through this pain and could possibly scare them off from coming back. Knots and mats will be shaved/cut out to give your dog a fresh start to a new coat. At New York Dog Wash your dog’s comfort and well being comes first.
New York Dog Wash reserves the right to not complete a groom on a dog that is aggressive towards our staff and grooming charges will still be applied for these cases. Dogs that are difficult to groom will incur an extra charge due to extra time and extra groomers required to complete the groom. In these cases a requested groom may not be possible.
Please let us know before coming in if your dog has fleas so that we can start a flea rinse immediately. Whilst all care is taken to ensure a flea free environment, we cannot guarantee that all dogs entering New York Dog Wash will not have fleas. An extra charge of $20.00 for a flea rinse will be automatically charged for a dog with fleas. This covers the cost of flea rinsing every other dog present, to avoid the possible spreading of fleas.
If a dog is picked up after trading hours a $10 per 10 minutes late fee will apply.
